Nested Savings Learning Center
The Nested Savings Learning Center will lay the foundation for a variety of initiatives that minimize illiteracy and dropout rates in Northern Uganda, challenge cultural norms that are hindering community development, and restore hope to a community that is barely hanging on.

Fundraising Breakdown (USD)
Uganda has the world’s largest population of under-30s and a literacy rate of about 73%. In many parts of the country, most people fail to complete their secondary education due to the lack of funds to cover the costs associated with attending school. While the government has a Universal Education program that covers tuition for all students in primary and secondary school, no additional provisions are made to pay for school uniforms, books, transportation, food, etc. Many students are forced to drop out once their families can no longer afford the extra costs not covered by the government.

How You Can Help
You can help us raise the $15,102 needed to renovate, furnish, and stock this building with a wide variety of books by February 1, 2016. The youth-run center will sustain itself by offering services like computer training, printing, photocopying, internet browsing, etc. This means you can expect your contribution to be a one time activity that has a lasting impact.
