Gary Sojka

                     Gary Sojka

Gary brings a wide array of knowledge and experiences to the Nested Savings team. He received his BA with Honors from Coe College and both his MS and PhD from Purdue University. His areas of expertise include biochemistry, microbiology, bio-energetics, and history of agriculture and domestication of plants and animals. While residing in central Pennsylvania with his wife Sandy, Gary enjoys farming and being an entrepreneur. Throughout his life, many people have often seen Gary as a metaphorical shepherd, guiding and encouraging others. Now, he is also a literal shepherd to the sheep on his farm. Gary’s experience managing poultry on his own farm makes him an invaluable asset to Nested Savings.

                    Jessica Charles

                  Jessica Charles

Jessica joined the Nested Savings Board of Directors because she was moved by the passion and commitment of the organization's founders. Specifically, she was touched by our VP, Imran’s commitment to helping and improving his village. Jessica is excited by the thorough design of Nested Savings’ projects, and is enthusiastic about being a member of a team dedicated to improving the wellbeing of community members. Her passions include volunteer work and anything involving food. She is a mother to two wonderful children, and is excited to show them the power of volunteering and helping others. One of Jessica’s strengths that she brings to the team is an ability to speak publicly and share the awesome news of Nested Savings!

                      Chris Stratton

                    Chris Stratton

Chris brings a background in agriculture, horticulture, and business and technical management to the Nested Savings team. His job experience spans many areas, from the Coast Guard operations and project management, to starting and running a biological pest control and natural pollination company, and to advanced technical support for Pennsylvania school districts. Chris enjoys photography and manages a photography business with his wife, Nancy. He is excited by the challenges that come with starting a new business in an unfamiliar place and hopes to bring rational thought and sustainable planning to the overall management of Nested Savings. Two areas of recent satisfaction for Chris and Nancy are receipt of the Presidential Citation from the director of Rotary International and, even more fun, acceptance for publication of a recent wedding-in-a-cave photo session by the "Offbeat Bride" publisher.

Chris feels honored to be among such a dedicated and accomplished group of individuals as comprises the Nested Savings organization.
